Sidewall/Ceiling Register with Two-Way Design This sidewall/ceiling register has solid steel construction with a two-way air deflection design. It has 1/2" spaced fins, a multi-shutter damper and comes in 6 sizes to suit your every ventilation need.

Center it between the joist and screw into place with self-tapping screws. Note: Use a power nut driver to drive self-tapping sheet metal screws. Measure the length you need for the supply duct. Ceiling ducts cannot be used with radiant heating systems, which generate heat from the floors. Floor heat ducts are not as visible as ceiling ducts. They can be camouflaged with decorative vent covers that match carpeting, tile or hardwood flooring. Ceiling ducts are more visible than floor ducts and harder to camouflage.

1 Dec 2020 Install dampers at the registers to adjust airflow. Adding heat runs in a basement may change the airflow in the ductwork going to other rooms. The round register has a white powder coat finish which gives it a smooth, finished look. Screws are included with the circular vent for easy installation.

Drill a hole on either side of the register. Mark the holes on the ceiling with a pencil, drill and install a drywall anchor in each location. Secure the register with screws into the anchor. Some people paint the ceiling and the register so it blends in better (and covers the screw heads).
